    1. Jessica Sorensen is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author from the snowy mountains of Wyoming When she s not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her familyssicasorensenfacebook pages Jessica

    2. 4 stars!Gemma’s emotions are back and stronger than ever. She is struggling with them. After spending most of her life detached from the world, ‘feeling’ is still new and strange to her. After all that went down in the last book, Gemma isn’t sure if she can trust Alex. She wants to, but for now she is keeping her distance. It’s hard for her. She has all these feelings for Alex that she has never experienced before. Alex doesn’t like the distance at all. He is willing to do whatever i [...]

    3. Reread. I have to say it's amazing how my opinions and things I notice in books have changed over time. I LOVED this the first time around when she first put them out. I'm kinda struggling with them now =/

    4. 4.5 Stars!!!“Being away from you… it gets harder and harder… I swear to God it actually feels like I’m dying.”Wowwhat a ride! The story gets more and more interesting with every new page. It’s seriously hard to put it down. But the worst thing about series like this one is that they will eventually endd I don’t want it to end! :( SoGemma thinks Alex had betrayed her. She is not sure she can trust him despite the fact he tries to explain everything countless times. Gemma is too inse [...]

    5. Holy moly, this book was soo much incredibly better than the first book. It was so intense, hot, sad, mysterious, thrilling, exciting, etc. So many different emotions and I felt a ton of them while reading this book. In the second book a ton happens and I mean a ton, while reading this story there isn’t one spot that is slow you are always on edge wondering what is going to happen next and you are always second guessing the characters. Meaning you are asking are you really going to do that, wh [...]

    6. Oh my word! This book was amazing! If you have not read the first one, I highly suggest you start there because a whole lot started before this book begins. It is free now on . Not only does this book takes us to places that the original YA series did not (*swoon Laylen swoon*), but it also has plot twists I did not see coming. I am still wrapping my mind around all of the things that happened. I love some characters I used to kind of like and hate one I was always kind of cheering on. It is cra [...]

    7. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!OMG, I was up until 2am this morning reading because I just couldn't put this book down. Gemma and AlexWOW!!! Now I know why you feel the sparks and electricity every time you are together. Poor LaylenI think he has realised now that you guys are MEANT TO BE!!!FUCK!!! What the hell was that at the end.DAM YOU NICHOLAS you fucked up fairy boy and FUCK YOU Stephan you deluded fucking power freak. I really hope you get whats coming to you

    8. Read more reviews| Find Me on Facebook I LOVED Shattered Promises (Shattered Promises #1) and even gave it 5 stars. I was super excited to read Fractured Souls (Shattered Promises #2) and continue the story of Gemma. I loved her and Alex together and couldn’t wait to further their relationship and continue with the world of vampires, Keepers, Death Walkers, and many other things in the paranormal world they live in.It had been awhile since I read Shattered Promises and was a bit confused going [...]

    9. see review and teaser for Book 3 - Broken Visions at shhmomsreading on 7/14I LOVE Alex,Laylen and Gemma and couldn’t wait to dive right back into the Shattered Promises Series.Fractured Souls picks up where Shattered Promises left off where Alex and Gemma have escaped from his father Stephen to Las Vegas to hide out. At first, I am skeptical of Alex’s intentions and question whether I trust him or not because of things that happened in book 1. But Alex immediately puts my anxiety to rest as [...]

    10. Ahhh, what a cliff hanger! I mean, I'm not one to normally bitch and complain about cliff hangersokay, maybe I do sometimes, but not all the time. Nevertheless, this is twice now that this series has totally just built you up soooo much and then BAM! over the side you, just dangling there grasping for something to give you a clue as to what will happen next. Unfortunately, you won't know until you read the next book.Wow, I was totally shocked at what happened between Laylen and Gemma. I mean, I [...]

    11. I can't explain just how excited I was for this book. I absolutely loved Shattered Promises. I guess maybe my expectations were just too high for this one. Sure, it was good but good is not great. It doesn't come close to living up to the first one IMHO. It just felt rushed to me. I needed and expected more. The longer I read trilogies, the more I'm realizing that the second books are often the weakest. Hopefully when the third comes out, it will wrap everything up nicely and I'll be happy. :)

    12. I really liked reading this book. The story line was great. It has a way of keeping you wanting to read through the end. The characters are an array of unique beings. This was a well written book. However, the ending left me clueless. Maybe I missed some thing, but I do not have any idea what happened. I still think it's a book to add to your tbr list. Recommended

    13. Liked this one even more than the first. More questions were answered and I just could follow along easier. Love Gemma and Alex, also love Laylen but Gemma is meant to be with Alex. Not thrilled with how it ended, darn that Stephen. Can't wait to read the next one and hope good and love can conquer all. Still hope Nicholas gets what is coming to him.

    14. OMG I just finished this and I can't believe it just strands you at the end! I am so wanting Gemma and Alex to work it out now. The story is intriguing and unique and I want more. Now I have to wait for the next one to come out! Grrrr

    15. This book seemed like it was all over the place. It was very confusing and hard to understand. I really liked the first book but this one wasn't what I was expecting.

    16. Just amazing! Suspenseful, and mind trapping. The bickering between Alex, Gemma, Laylen, Aislin, and Nicholas is comical, the fight scenes are amazing and the intimacy is astounding!

    17. 3.5. Some reviewers said that Fractured Souls didn’t live up to Shattered Promises. I disagree. I thought it was better (and hotter) than the first book. There were lots of punctuation errors and lots of setting changes, so you have to pay close attention or you might get lost. It didn’t help that I’ve read several books since Shattered Promises, and I had totally forgotten everything that happened. You may want to scan the first book before you start reading this one. Plot:Fractured Souls [...]

    18. This book and I got off to a strong start, but somewhere along the line it sort of lost me. I finished it by sheer will power and determination to finish it and the MANY typo's just really turned me off. I don't even understand how its possible this day in age for a book to get published with so many spelling and grammatical errors. I reported all of them, not that amazon can do a thing about them and then finished the book and decided I don't really need to know how the story ends. Thank God bo [...]

    19. Gemma was prepared to wake up again with her soul detached. It is after all the last thing she remembers trying to prepare herself for, she also remembers her heart being crushed by Alex’s betrayal.“I would have never let you die.”When she wakes and finds she still has all of her emotions, her memory and her soul she is confused. When Alex explains that he didn’t betray, that he couldn’t betray her she is reluctant to believe him. He hasn’t been 100% honest with her since the beginni [...]

    20. Emotions run wild in this second installment of the Shattered Promises series, and with Gemma's future in question as well as the fate of the world, it's no wonder. She knew the power within her was always in danger, and now she's questioning who she can trust. Alex has always been the wild card, keeping secrets and telling half-truths to the point of sheer frustration. But there's also something about him that she just can't shake, and that electricity between them that seems to have a power al [...]

    21. I definitely preferred this book over Shattered Promises! I beta-read Shattered Promises and thought that it needed some changes to make it suit the first book in the Young Adult series more, but Fractured Souls was amazing! It felt like I hadn't actually read the Young Adult version of it and it was my first time reading it! The plot was amazing! It was like reading it all over again, but there were changes that made it more adult! There were some immensely hot scenes added that made me swoon a [...]

    22. I enjoyed Jessica Sorensen's "Fractured Souls". I felt it was a much better book than the first one, "Shattered Promises", in this series.Sorensen gave the characters more depth in "Fractured Souls". This dark, twisted tale was an exploration of their emotions. Gemma, the main character, is still learning about her emotions. And, even Alex is discovering emotions long since hidden. The biggest emotion the two of them face is Love. Although the story is paranormal with an unfathomable situation, [...]

    23. Originally posted on upallnightbookblog3.75 StarsAfter reading SHATTERED PROMISES Book #1 (See our reviews here) in this series, I was really excited to figure out what was going to happen next for Gemma, Alex, and Laylen. I'll admit I was a little confused starting FRACTURED SOULS as it has been several months since I read book 1 and I was thrust right back into the story without a lot of back story. I ended up going back to book 1 and skimming through the end to get a sense of where it left of [...]

    24. Once again Loved it! The series I love with a few twists. (Add large dashes of sexy) Fractured Souls starts right where we left off Alex and Gemma have gotten away from his father and are now in Sin city. Alex is a hard one for me. Sometimes I love him. Other times I am ready to hook him up to a polygraph machine. Although he does finally calm my nerves a bit. Thank goodness I really want to jump of the train of loving Alex Lol! (Damn you Laylen it is all your fault with your vampy sexy self Lol [...]

    25. I just have to put this out thereI'm really not much of a paranormal fan but after reading Shattered Promises Book #1, I was anxious to get my hands on Fractured Souls and Jessica did not disappoint, I could not put it down. There are only a few authors that I would immediately read a paranormal series from, no questions asked, and Jessica Sorensen is one of them. 4 stars!Fractured souls picks back up exactly were Shattered Promises left off.I would encourage you to re-read Shattered Promises be [...]

    26. Fractured Souls by Jessica Sorensen is the second book in the Shattered Promises series. It was equally as good as the first book. Synopsis:**Mature Content Warning** 17+ for language and sexual content.(this is a re-imagining of my Young Adult Paranormal book, The Underworld (Book 2 in the Fallen Star Series) told as a New Adult Paranormal)Gemma thought she had said her good-byes and had felt every possible emotion she could before her soul was detached again. Deep down inside, she hoped she [...]

    27. This book takes up immediately after the events in the first book and finds Gemma disoriented and mad about what happened. The story as it continues is still managing to hold me captive to what is going on. The characters are so real that I am drawn to what they are going through. The story is interesting with bad guys who are dark but not deadly dark. The good guys have an edge of their own that keeps them from seeming flat and boring. Gemma wants to trust Alex but cannot figure out how to do i [...]

    28. Must think positive thoughts. Must think positive thoughts. Must. Think. Posi. I picked this one, didn't I? I had a reason for doing so, did I not? Was it not that I was in need of some quick fluffy read filled with sexy times? And since I'm not one to leave a series unfinished (despite having hated. loathed. abhorred the first), this one would do. I thought so at least. Except now, I'm ever so frustrated with this latest pick of mine. Name one thing that's been done to death in PNR and this seq [...]
