    1. Multi published, award winning author, AJ Nuest resides in a small farming community in NW Indiana A wife, mother and freelance editor, she shares her home with a variety of spoiled rotten pets She and the cat are currently vying for dictatorship.

    2. Just when I think A. J. Nuest can’t raise her bar any higher, she up and writes Braedric’s Bane, the final book in Rowena and Caedmon’s tale of love. Not only has she gift-wrapped the series, she added a huge bow to the top of the package! With another trip through the mirror, Rowena takes Caedmon back to her world where he is bombarded with the sights, sounds and technology of contemporary times. Oh, and Oliver and his partner, Jon. Remember Oliver? I smile just thinking of him, his devot [...]

    3. In this concluding part of The Golden Key Chronicles, Rowena and Caedmon are faced with life changing decisions. Will they be able to save their castle or will the evil side be victorious? Will be they able to stay together? Which role does Caedmon’s half-brother Braedric play in the impending war Caedmon’s realm is faced with?I loved the other three parts in this series and couldn’t wait to find out how this story would conclude. There were still so many questions unanswered and Caedmon [...]

    4. A.J. Nuest's final installment in The Golden Key Chronicles had me on the edge of my seat. Once they arrive in the present there is little time to linger there. Upon receiving disheartening news about the past, Rowena and Caedmon have to go back to save the Austiere Kingdom form evil forces taking over. The action packed ending left me with an 'Ah-Ha' conclusion and the sweetest Epilogue I have ever read. Caedmon and Rowena's story came full circle and left me feeling completely satisfied. Braed [...]

    5. *Warning: may contain spoilers, and this is book 4 and you do need to read these in order*This picks up right where book 3 ended. Rowena and Caedmon are now in Rowena's 'realm', which we now know to, in fact, be the future (for Caedmon's 'realm'). She and Caedmon join her best friend and "wizard" Oliver and his partner, Jon, in trying to figure out how to save Caedmon's castle and land, known as Austiere. Now it's Caedmon's turn to be disoriented in a new realm, only he didn't lose his memories. [...]

    6. I absolutely Loved this series originally I was only going to read the first book but there was no way I could have stopped there!!!!I Loved Rowena she is my kind of girl, Strong, Bright and Bubbly the shrewd Antique's Dealer is unsuspecting that she is in fact the Sorceress and magic Key holder linked to saving the Mystical Kingdom of Prince Caedmon Austiere, but just one look at each other and it's more then kingdom's that are at stake.I loved this series it is a fabulous mystical tale of corr [...]

    7. This was definitely my favourite instalment in a series full of phenomenal novellas. Nuest’s writing really shines through with this one. Her descriptions are intricate yet vividly eye-catching, allowing the reader to visualise each and every moment of this awe inspiring tale. This author’s way with words allows her to weave this story so that it becomes part of her readers. You become intellectually and emotionally invested in the story. Nuest had me on the edge of my seat. There were so ma [...]

    8. I said to AJ that when her paperback collection of these novellas gets released, the cover should come with the tagline/health warning: MAY CAUSE LACK OF SLEEP. I'm even more certain of that after another late night sitting up finishing the final Golden Key Chronicle, Braedric's Bane. All the praise I've had for the first three books could just be repeated verbatim here - short instalments that pack a real punch. The story is one full of dichotomies - the sweetest romance, with the more racy aspe [...]

    9. Rowena has her key back and together with Caedmon she steps through the mirror, into the future. She has her memories again and is thrilled to see her friends. For Caedmon it's an entirely different world that he doesn't understand. Her friends help Rowena to find some information that she needs to beat the evil wizard Gaelleod. Braedric has plotted against them. Caedmon and Rowena need a cunning plan to protect the kingdom and their people. Will they have enough time and strength to stand a cha [...]

    10. I don’t think I made it quite clear that my last review was for the third book in The Golden Key Chronicles, my apologies. I only meant that by the time I was writing the last review I had already finished reading the last book, Braedric’s Bane. My favorite out of the series is the third book. But don’t let that deter you from this review. Braedric’s Bane comes in at a very close second place favorite! AJ Nuest has tied everything in the series together in an action packed and exciting c [...]

This is almost a role reversal of the first novella, Rowena's Key, as both Rowena and Caedmon dive through the magic mirr [...]

    12. Grand finales should always be the most impressive book in a series. As far as the Golden Key Chronicles are concerned, this story did its job and then some. Things were in a really tight place for the main characters and then it got even worse. I was pretty engrossed in the book and didn't pull back until the end when I had a sigh of satisfaction for the lovely fairy tale ending. As the last book in a serial-like series, this one picks up right where the last one left off with its cliffhanger-st [...]

    13. It’s here! The final instalment in the Golden Key Chronicles! And what a journey it’s been. In this novella, Braedric’s Bane, Rowena and Caedmon have returned to Rowena’s time to seek help from her friends, but Caedmon’s kingdom is on the brink of war and they must return as soon as possible to save the people of Austiere.Braedric’s Bane takes us full circle, with Rowena and Caedmon landing right back where we began in Rowena’s Key in contemporary times with Rowena’s friend Olive [...]

    14. I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review. My Thoughts: I really liked this series. It kept me interested throughout. In this book, Caedmon is a fish out of water. It was funny the way he interacted with Oliver's partner. He did not know what to make of Oliver and Jon. Eventually, he realized Jon did not mean to make him uncomfortable. I also liked how Rowena was steadfast in her support of Caedmon. She refused to stay behind. The Story: At the end of the last book, Caed [...]

    15. Well all I can say is February 13th was worth waiting for :) The first three books are brilliant & keep you wondering what will happen next, at the end of Caedmon's Curse you are left with them having no other choice but to jump back through the mirror to Rowena's time. How will Caedmon cope with electricity, plasma TV's telephones, indoor plumbing & open homosexuality just a few of the modern things he will have to learn to live withRowena finds a lot of things have changed in the two y [...]

Originally posted on: lauraslittlebookblog. As soon as AJ told me she had ARC's for the final in The Golden Key Chronicles and asked if I would like to read, I cried yes and started reading straight away!I read this final instalment in a matter of hours! AJ writes in a way that you just have to keep turning the page. The pace of the final book is fast just like the first three and I really enjoy the fast-pace of it as it makes it an all the more exciting read. The only criticism I have is that ag [...]

    17. An epic, fantasy, adventure and romance, with a dash of comedy, rolled into one fabulous book. I literally read it in one sitting.Everything comes together in this final installment of The Golden Key Chronicles. Questions are answered and plot lines weave together to reveal the big picture. The plot moved at a comfortable pace, with a clear climax and resolution, the action in this book was well developed.I was happy to see that Rowena and Caedmon had the opportunity to go to Rowena’s realm [...]

    18. This final installment in the series concludes the ongoing adventures in Austiere, with a final showdown between Caedmon and his half-brother Braedric, and also Rowena facing off with the evil wizard Galleod. But what is more exciting in this novella is Rowena and Caedmon’s journey back through the magic armoire to the future (where Rowena originally came from). Caedmon, the quintessential gentleman-prince, is thrown literally naked into the apartment of Rowena’s best friend Ollie and his out [...]

    19. 5+ stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A wonderful and beautiful ending to an epic, romantic fantasy! This is by far my favorite book of the series. A.J. doesn't disappoint at all in this conclusion of the Golden Key Chronicles series. (I even think she left it enough open if she ever chose to write more about Rowena and Caedmon, wink wink, hint hint A.J. LOL) "Your beauty outshines that of Helios, my love." The wondere fierce devotion in his gaze sent joy cascading through her limbs. " I am humbled beyond me [...]

    20. #4 Braedric's Bane. This final story in The Golden Key Chronicles sees Rowena and Caedmon sure of their love and back in the modern world where Rowena first came from. There are some lovely and humorous reunion scenes with Oliver and Jon, sizzling passion between our two lovers and important clues to the prophecy. Back to the fantasy world for the last part of the story, with an epic battle, jaw dropping magic and a happy ever after? The well thought out ending leaves the way for further stories [...]

    21. Terrific conclusion to this series!! Highly recommend it!Rowena and Caedmon have come back through the mirror into “her” time. They arrive in Oliver’s home as he now has the armoire. History shows that Caedmon’s father’s health fails and other unfortunate events befall those they care about. Caedmon wants to return alone, but Rowena holds him to the promise they will remain together. Can these two intrepid travelers right the wrongs occurring through the veil, and can they live their l [...]

    22. The splender and majesty of the realm created by AJ Nuest with the Golden Key Chronicles will live on in my mind forever. Braedric's Bane wraps up the story of Rowena and Caedmon with the same excellence that I'd come to expect from reading the first three books. With Braedric's Bane, I found myself making excuses not to read because I didn't want to say goodbye to these characters or this realm, but, of course, I couldn't help myself. This book, and the entire series, has earned a place of honor [...]

    23. Caedmon and Rowena find their love for each other has with stood time even without her past memories. Meeting the Dreggs is a scary site. When they finally get her memories back and then travel through the mirror once again, what they find out is not good. They must go back, keep these things from becoming a reality, and save their kingdom from evil. The evil that is in Braedric and the Wizard Gaelleod is beyond wicked.Review from The Golden Key Chronicles

    24. Oh me, oh my!!!! Caedmon in Chicago I can't breathe! His adjustment is not going so well and he has a severe feeling of unease. Now that they understand what the key is we have a problem! How do we protect the key and save the realm at the same time? This series has given me heart palpitation and I loved every moment! The way this series ends has me wanting to go read "The Legacy" series from the beginning! I'm so sad it's over!

    25. I LOVED this love story and this series. Ms Nuest sucked me in with her rich writing style, smoothly delivering me into the heart of a mysterious fantasy kingdom. Along with a strong, feisty heroine, charming, sexy hero, intriguingly evil villain and lovable secondary characters, The Golden Key Chronicles took me on a wild fantasy ride full of action, intrigue and purely sexy fun. I'm looking forward to future adventures penned by Ms Nuest's talented hand.

    26. What an absolute fantastic conclusion to the GK Chronicles! I can't say it enough how much I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Tons of heart stopping action, those laugh out loud moments that just get me every time, and oh the romancetis so sweet!I adore AJ and love every single book she has written!

    27. After the first three books in the series, I was so excited to read the conclusion. I loved it! Heroics from everyone! Sadness at the passing of loved ones. Allies from an unlikely source. And neverending love for Caedmon and Rowena. Make sure you have all four books before you start reading cause you won't want to waste a moment to have to go back and get them!

    28. Really enjoyed this book as well. It's awesome so much can happen in such a short book, without it feeling rushed. Sad that this is the end of their storybut excited to start the next book that is from their daughters point of view

    29. Amazing 4th book, what more can you ask from a fantasy series, time travelling, costumes and even a fight, added the sexy hero and it has everything you could want in a book!' For full review please check out my blog cometbabesbooks
