    1. Caitlyn Duffy is a Brooklyn dwelling, chihuahua lovin freelance writer, who is currently developing a series of YA novels for Lovestruck Literary around the celebutante students of a fictitious boarding school.

    2. I really enjoyed the author's Center Stage so queued this up to read on the plane back to DC today. It was cute but seemed more like the opening few chapters to a novel instead of a self-contained novella. I wasn't expecting much since I knew it was supposed to be a story about a very minor character who was only mentioned in Center Stage, but I felt myself growing very invested in Cassie. Unfortunately, the novella ended just when it seemed like her story was starting to take off.Hopefully Duff [...]

    3. I genuinely like the characters portrayed in this prequel to Center Stage. The storyline is interesting, with characters who have a lot more going on underneath than their surface "public" personas show. I'm really looking forward to reading Center Stage when it comes out to see the outcome of the singing competition and to see what happens with Cassie and Elliott and how both Elliott and Allison will cope with the contest.
