    1. Charlene Whitman Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Wild Horses, Wild Hearts book, this is one of the most wanted Charlene Whitman author readers around the world.

    2. Set in rural Colorado in the early 1870s, Charlene Whitman’s Wild Horses, Wild Hearts is a short introduction to the characters in her series The Front Range, which continues with Colorado Hope. The novella is set in an area rich in farmland and ranches, and separately follows Eli and Clare, who inevitably fall for each other. The couple meet in the wilderness while Eli is tracking wild horses and Clare (and her wild heart) is out looking for her missing younger brother. Eli’s mother has a vi [...]

    3. 4.5 stars This is a wonderful story that I enjoyed reading during the holidays. It is a western romance that takes place out west where everyone depended on themselves and their neighbors. Eli works hard on his horse farm with his mother and brother. They are of Cheyene descent and his mother is a medicine woman. On a journey Eli comes across Claire and helped her. She is Irish and loves horses and other animals. This is a clean, sweet romance with an exciting story. I received a complementary c [...]

    4. Wild Horses, Wild Hearts Enjoyable promise of many hours of romance and drama. This series will be great. Can't wait to get started. R

    5. I like romances, westerns, and historical fiction. This novella hit all three for a very satisfying read. I liked the characters and the story.

    6. Sweet exciting beginningThis novella seems to be a start for a new and exciting collection. The beginning of young love full of adventure and the apparent loss of a deep love.

    7. Lovely and sweet story - that makes me want to read the other books in the series. I definitely want to find out what happens with the different characters we met in this story

    8. 3.5 *Pros:There was a lot I liked about this book: Whitman's evident love for the land and its creatures, the inclusion of Cheyenne and Irish, their language and ways blending with the other settlers', alongside the patterns of prejudice and conflict that inevitably arose when so many people saw other folk as too alien to be respected. In contrast, the upright morality, goodness and hospitality of both families was refreshing, as was the value they placed on their people's heritage and wisdom, a [...]

    9. YOUNG LOVE AND WILD HORSESI read the first two full-length books before I knew this was a prequel of sorts, although it was written after the other stories were. We meet Clare here and find out how she and Eli meet, but we also get a deeper look into how Lucas ends up at the horse ranch.Clare is your typical feisty Irish girlexcept for one thing. She'll never be content to marry someone who just expected her to stay home and care for children. She wanted children, yes, but she also had a love fo [...]

    10. I really liked this book, it flowed smoothly and quickly. Yes, I know that it was a shorter book, but it didn't really feel like it. This is not the first book in the series that I have read, so it was nice to re-visit a few of the characters from the other books. Especially one of my favorites, Eli's ma. A woman skilled with horses people. She could "see and know" things about people before they showed up. She was a person who, accepted the teachings of Christ that was preached to her by her fa [...]

    11. This Prequel to The Front Range series was a sweet, interesting, delightful, historical, western romance. A sister, Clara, is sent to hunt her young brother who went looking for a cow that has wandered away. Eli had gone to track wild horses when he came upon the two after finding the cow and were in trouble. The story is about innocent love and people finding real love. Clara is courageous and spunky while Eli is a very caring man. I highly recommend this book. I received this book as a gift. T [...]

    12. I liked this novella. It is set in one of my favorite time periods. The setting is in the foothills of the Rockie Mountains, so what is not to like there? The characters were good and developed well.As for the plot was paced well and was interesting. I liked the mysterious Indian elements that were included.I will be checking out the rest of the series when it becomes available.

    13. This review is from: Wild Horses, Wild Hearts: A Sweet Historical Romance Novella (The Front Range Series Book 1) (Kindle Edition)Well defined characters with a great storyline. First book that I read from Charlene Whitman and it will not be the last!

    14. I spent $3.00 for this novella. I want my money back! There is no resolution. It is simply a story of how Eli and Clara meet and introduces Lucas Rawlings. Really?! I can see charging $ .99 but $3.00 for this very short novella is highway robbery. I won't be reading more of Ms. Whitman.
